Wendy's Six-Point Table Topper
These Table Toppers make great gifts, and they require only basic sewing skills – no quilting required! When your 6 panels are sewn “quilt as you go” style, they are all ready to be joined together. Kits will be available at Quilt Passions, or you can bring your own fabric.
Please Bring to Class:• Pattern: Wendy's 6-Point Table Topper, available
at Quilt Passions
• Sewing machine with quarter inch foot – or– the
ability to move needle position to 1/4”
• Standard sewing supplies: Pins, scissors, seam ripper,
chocolate candy, etc.
• Fabric basting glue like Roxanne’s Glue Baste-it
• Erasable fabric pen or chalk marker
• Bobbin with thread in a color to blend with Backing
• Thread (spool) in a color to blend with Inner fabric
• Thread (spool) to blend with Front Joining Strips
• Rotary cutter
• 6" to 8" square ruler with diagonal line
Optional:
• Wonder Clips or equivalent
• Top Stitch foot for your machine if you have one
• 1/4 yard lightweight fusible interfacing if you are using tissue lamé or similar fabric for Accent triangles.
Fabric needed if you are bringing your own:

Fabric for Narrow rows: 11/2” wide strips
Cut 4 strips from full width of fabric (about 40”)
– OR – Cut 8 strips (about 20”) from a fat quarter
Accent Triangles: Cut 2 strips @ 21/2” wide, then cut these
strips into 24 squares, 21/2”
NOTE: Pick a fabric that will hold a crease when
pressed. Fancy fabrics like tissue lamé and silk work
well, but may need lightweight fusible interfacing
ironed on the back so you can fold them. Directional
fabrics are NOT a good choice here.
Fabric for Inner & Outer Rows: 1/4 yard (one fabric)
Front Joining Strips & Binding: 3/8 yard (one fabric)
Flannel to be used as Batting: 1/2 yard. PREWASH and
dry to shrink!! You can use any flannel that does not
show through your other fabrics.
Backing: 1/2 yard. Choose a busy, non-directional print
to help hide the threads on the back.
YES! You need to bring Flannel and Backing
to class! This is a quilt-as-you-go project.
We will be layering before we sew.
