Ultimate Scrap Busting Project Part 1

Join special guest instructor Jaymi Horne for the ultimate stash-busting project: learning how to make fabric using even the tiniest of scraps! In the morning, we will create the and 18" x 22" piece of fabric. Then in the optional afternoon class, we’ll then use that fabric to make a zippered bag. Supplies needed to make a piece of fabric will be provided, but feel free to bring scraps to add to the mix if you like.

Supply list (please bring to class):

Sewing machine

 Machine quilting thread in the color of your choice 

 Fabric scraps; this can be even the tiniest of pieces, off cuts, trimmings, selvedges, and even       threads (fabric scraps will also be provided) 

Notions typical to machine sewing:

 Scissors (4” or longer blades)

 Pins (regular quilting pins)

 Seam ripper

 Extra needles for your machine, size 70/10 or 80/12

 Pressing mat
