Embroidered Wool Hedgehog Needle Keeper & Project Bag with Hanne Lohde (MV)

This is a fun class to advance your wool embroidery skills in learning new
stitches and intermediate to advanced embroidery techniques while you make
your own hand embroidered wool hedgehog project bag. You will get to make a
10” x 11" zippered project bag with cute mushrooms, hedgehog, dragonfly
as well as an inchworm on the front of the bag. On the back is an attached
7 ½“ x 8" needle keeper with mushrooms and bees on the cover.
You will learn the following stitches:
Bullion Knot, Drizzle, Lazy Daisy, Oyster, Piston, Palestrina, Knotted Cable Chain,
Colonial Knot Danish Knot, Buttonhole, Woven Needle Bar, Trellis, Seed, and Fly
Stitch, as well as how to assemble your finished bag on the sewing machine.
Kit Fee $85.00, payable to the teacher in class includes: hand dyed wool as well as
variegated cotton and shimmer threads for embellishment.
What to bring to class:
* Piecemakers Doll Sculpting Needle (can be purchased from teacher)
* Tulip Bullion Knot Needle (can be purchased from teacher)
* Piecemakers Calico Braided Rug Needle (can be purchased from
teacher)
* Freezer paper, fine tipped scissors, pen or pencil
* (Recommended but not included in the kit) threads for Appliqué:
Ellana wool thread EN: #50, 41, 06, 16 (available at Piecemakers or Sue
Spargo or another fine matching cotton thread for the Whip Stitches.
* Lining fabric for the bag & needle keeper, one piece 7 ½“ x 8" and two 10”
x 11".
