Exploring Value in Quilting with Grace Errea (MV)

Make your quilts amazing and stand out from all others!
This class focuses on value and its importance in art. The various aspects of color harmonies, value, and the expressive aspects of value in color in nature and in art/quilts will be discussed and demonstrated. At the completion of the class students will see value and color in a new way and will start releasing the artist within.
We will discuss the meaning and use of tints, shades, hue, and especially, how to use value to create a focal point, set the mood in a piece, create 3-dimensionality or give perspective in a textile piece. We will start by creating a perfect 8-value gray scale from fabrics provided by the teacher.
