2-Fabric Applique (Needle Turn) KONA
Two fabrics, one spool of thread and a pattern you love – that is the recipe for a good time and a stunning quilt. I will teach you how easy it is to make a beautiful wall hanging and it is quicker than you think, using needleturn techniques on a 2 Fabric Applique Quilt (2FAQ). There are no templates, no numbering system and no positioning of small pieces.
In this one day class, you will receive a good introduction to the pattern and needleturn applique process while starting your 11” x 17” quilt. Students will have multiple quilt designs from which to choose.
All skill levels welcome. No machines needed!
Supply List:
• Milliners/Straw Needle size 10 or 11
• Small fabric scissors
• Applique or small straight pins
• Permanent, semi-permanent marking pen like a sharpie (for light
fabric pattern transfer)
• Pattern Transfer Paper (for dark fabric pattern transfer)
• Ruler with 3/16th marking
• Masking tape
Optional items: thimble, needle threader
