Coming up at Quilt Passions

Aloha to our Quilt Passions Friends and Ohana,

Quilting on the Beach Summer Camp in Kailua Kona is almost here! We’re excited about our line-up and the variety of projects including quilts, wall hangings, creative sewing projects, a lunchtime make and take, and a trunk show featuring Legit Kits designer Mike O’Dell. But wait, there’s more! One of our Quilting on the Beach instructors, Jaymi Horne, will be stopping in the Mission Viejo shop on her way back home to Hawaii to teach several workshops. Be sure to check out the class schedule for the week of July 15 – 20 at http://quiltpassions.net . You’ll see a really nice variety of projects offered in half-day classes, evening classes, and full day classes. Hope you can join us!

And it’s never too soon to start thinking about the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Quilt and Fiber Arts Show coming up the first week in November in Kona. We love getting entries from all over the country! Our theme for the quilt challenge this year is “Coffee and Chocolate” – we can’t wait to see what our creative Quilt Passions ohana will come up with this time! Do you know someone who is jealous of all the fun you have when you are stitching and wants to learn to make quilts? A new beginning quilting series will be starting on July 6 at the Mission Viejo shop.  It will be held on Saturday mornings from 9 am -- 12 pm and is a great introductory class.
