Silversword ('Ahinahina) Pattern by Pacific Rim Quilt Company

Pacific Rim’s tribute to Maui, the Silversword plant grows only on the slopes of Haleakala. Its name comes from long, sword-like leaves covered with silvery hairs. The plant takes 10-15 years to mature, it blooms just once then dies after producing black fruit. A delicate plant, with tender surface roots, it struggles for long-term survival. 

This 36" square quilt was designed to be used with 1-yard lengths of fabric.

Choose two contrasting fabrics for your quilt top, and a coordinating print fabric for the backing.
